ALLEGRA 105" LIGHT-GREY FABRIC CORNER SOFA

I grabbed this on a whim during a holiday sale not expecting anything fancy, but it managed to disappoint even my bar-in-the-dirt expectations the second we set it down. In the pictures it looked like an easy, neutral corner couch, but sitting here against normal off-white walls and our hardwood floor, it looks like a giant slab of wet cement or some drab partition dragged out of an old DMV waiting area. The "light grey" fabric has this weird, dingy, washed-out tone that catches the window light horribly and turns an almost sickly greenish-ash next to our warm rug and wooden coffee table. To make matters worse, the cushions look frumpy and uneven right out of the wrap, and the overall profile is so awkwardly boxy that it completely swallows the room and makes the whole space feel cramped, dark, and cheap instead of welcoming.

We spent years making do with cheap boxed furniture that looked worn out after six months, so bringing this corner sofa in made an immediate difference. The light grey tone blends in naturally with our warm wood floors and cream rug, giving the room a calm, put-together look our old couch never had. It tucks into the corner without eating up the walkway, so the whole room feels open and balanced.

I hauled my landlord's cheap plastic futon into the hallway closet and put this massive corner sofa in its place.

We put this sectional in the corner of our family room, right by the tall patio doors, and it fills that area nicely without looking too bulky. The soft grey shade matches our linen curtains and white walls, giving the room a clean, modern feel. The low back also allows plenty of natural light to flood in, which makes the whole space feel a bit larger.

Honestly, I bought this corner sectional as a housewarming gift for my sister, and it has worked out really well for her space. The light grey fabric matches her decor nicely, and the cushions are pretty firm but comfortable to sit on for movie nights. At 105 inches, it fits her apartment layout perfectly without crowding the room. Shipping took a few days longer than expected and we had to wrangle the heavy boxes up the stairs, which is why I'm docking a star, but once it was set up, she was super happy with it. It looks high quality and she says it's great for everyday lounging.
