I finally tossed out the rickety particle-board nightstand I'd been using since college, and the difference in quality is night and day. The wood has a nice, heavy weight to it, and the fact that it came fully assembled meant I didn't have to waste a Saturday fighting with dowels and an Allen wrench. The finish looks rich in person and genuinely feels like a grown-up piece of furniture that'll hold up over time.
