A Beautiful Mid-Century Find

I placed this bench along the wood paneling in my entryway, and it looks like a treasure found at an estate sale. The warm teak frame matches my collection of mid-century record cabinets, while the textured ivory fabric softens the dark oak floors and amber lighting in the hall.

Exactly what our entryway needed

We recently got married and moved into a much bigger house, which left us with a lot of empty spaces to furnish. I ended up putting this bench right by the front door, and it looks amazing. The ivory boucle is super soft to sit on, and the teak frame is really sturdy and matches the rest of our decor. Having that hidden storage space is also a lifesaver for stashing all the shoes we used to just leave piled up.

Looks great, but hard to keep clean

While this bench is a massive upgrade in solid wood quality compared to the cheap particle board furniture we replaced, the ivory boucle fabric is a magnet for pet hair and really tough to vacuum.
