Fits my 70s living room vibe way better than expected

Honestly, I was a little nervous ordering a vegan leather couch online without sitting on it first, especially since I've been trying to put together a very specific 1970s vintage look in my den. After spending four exhausting days painting every wall in our living room, all my wife and I wanted was a cozy couch to collapse onto, but this thing feels like sitting on an upholstered brick. To make matters worse, the "vegan leather" feels like cheap, rubbery plastic that squeaks loudly whenever you shift an inch, and if you're wearing shorts, your bare skin instantly sticks to the surface with that awful peeling sound when you try to get up. It might look decent against our fresh paint, but actually sitting on it is pure punishment, and now I'm dreading the hassle of trying to box this monstrosity back up to return it.
